Check for any other firewall program that might be shutting off the
Windows XP Firewall.
1. Check the Group Policy settings. (Click Start - Run - gpedit.msc).
2. Expand Administrative Templates - Network - Network Connections - Windows Firewall - Standard Profile.
3. Look at "Windows Firewall:Protect all network connections", and ensure it's set to "Not Configured".
4. Double-click this settings, check Not Configured, and then click "Apply"
5. Click "Ok".
Firewall settings tab grayed out. It says "For your security, some settings are controlled by group policy" How to turn group policy OFF or fix this
